Extraction Worker

HOW WE DO IT

Extraction Worker Duties

Mine layouts, transportation of machinery into and out of the mine, safety inspections, drills, monitoring of the amount of material extracted, and communication with executives and administrators at the mining company headquarters are all performed by extraction workers in the mining industry.

It is often the responsibility of extraction workers to keep other miners safe in mining scenarios. To do so, they must determine what measures will be adequate safeguards against a catastrophic mine collapse based on the physics of tunneling into the specific type of ground in question.

A long wall strategy is used by extraction workers in the United States and many other developed countries, in which long, narrow strips of rock are shaved and pulverized by an enormous grinding machine. The material is conveyed to the entrance via a lengthy conveyor belt from the grinding machine. Due to its use of substantial hydraulic buttresses to support the tunnel roof in mined areas, longwall mining is the safest mining strategy yet developed. These supports can prevent ceiling collapses.

Workers on oil rigs monitor oil flow, adjust the position or speed of the drilling arm, check for malfunctions, and record daily oil volumes.

Workers in the most extreme oil extraction positions live on the sea floor for up to one month by immersion diving to the ocean floor inside a diving bell. They can come and go as they please because their diving bells are pressurized at the same level as the ocean floor. Compared with repeated compression and decompression cycles, immersion diving is less time-consuming, cheaper, and less stressful on the body.

An essential skill in this field is communication since extraction workers are usually part of a large team that must coordinate and direct to produce optimum results.

Land

For land transportation, we have several buses of varying capacity, including 15-seater, 25-seater and 47-seater buses. The bus stations and terminals are strategically located across the site to provide easy access for our employees to travel to their work areas.

Sea

For sea transportation, our speed boat is used to transport employees in and out of the site.

Air

Our air transportation features a seaplane, which is used for business purposes. We also have a helicopter that is mainly used for emergency evacuations and travel to the exploration area.

POWER PLANT

Workplace For Extraction Worker

Mineral extraction workers usually spend most of their time outdoors, in remote and inhospitable locations like ocean floors, oil fields, coal mines, deserts, and mountain peaks. Summers can be hot, and winters can be chilly in some of these environments.

Drills and boring tools used by extraction workers are often heavy and dangerous. Dismantling, repairing, and replacing equipment are everyday tasks for extraction workers.

Travel may also be necessary, and workers may be posted at remote job sites for months. Families with small children and spouses may be particularly concerned about this.
